Well, we've been run off four feet the past 3 weeks with planning, writing, shooting and editing a last minute project forBritvic. Last week we shot a 13 minute short film for the Robinson's brand that involved a cast of 4 kids (including 3 boys in karate costumes and a pink fairy) and one rather frustrated mum! We converged upon a location in Fulham for two days where we had a RIDICULOUS shot list to get through but get through it we did. Thanks to our sheer determination as a team and DOP Mark Moreve's quick thinking, we were on a role by day 2. Our lead boy, the tremendously talented Mr Max Elliot was an absolute pleasure to work with (watch out for that one) as was actress Jojo Entwisle, who at one point had to be continually hit with balloon swords by 3 very hyperactive kids! Big thanks also to our stylist/props team Dizzy Maggs and the lovely Nicky, ridiculously organised Production Assistant Daisy, our regularly fabulous hair and make up queen Gemma Aldous and also to the extremely talented Jack Jones who managed to give our film the most delicious grade in a meagre 7 hours. What a team! This was also the first time we had worked with the Cannon C300 camera and wowee, were we impressed. The depth of field and detail are quite lovely and this really became evident during the grade (using the Nucoda Film Master (pictured below) @ TVC in Soho). The work flow also proved way simpler than using the RED which is certainly something to keep in mind when you have a 4 day window to for ALL post. We will certainly be using it again. Perhaps for the rather filmic foray we've been working on recently. More news soon!
